Formulated with sustainably sourced single-origin polydeoxyribonucleotide (PdRN), a fibroblast stimulating agent, at 20,000 ppm. The high concentration of copper tripeptide, known for its wound healing properties, gives the serum its deep sea hue.

Made with post-procedure skin in mind. Suitable for daily use for stressed or sensitized skin, including after aesthetic treatments.

Core ingredients

Protocol

Apply 1-2 full drops to clean face and neck, morning and evening. Gently massage until absorbed. Finish with cream.

In the laboratory

01Cell migration

In a scratch wound-healing assay, higher PdRN concentrations resulted in faster skin cell migration for repair.

02Inflammatory markers

With increasing concentration of PdRN, the proteins that inflame skin and degrade collagen decrease, measured by quantitative PCR. AX01 is formulated at the maximum soluble PdRN concentration of 20,000 ppm.

03Tone and texture

After 2 weeks of use, skin becomes visibly calmer and smoother.

04Periorbital wrinkles

After 4 weeks of use, periorbital wrinkles soften, mapped by 3D surface imaging. Red indicates deep-set lines; yellow indicates fine lines.

05Dermal density

After 4 weeks of use, skin density markedly improves, measured by high-frequency ultrasound. Skin appears plump and firm.

Science

AX01 is powered by polydeoxyribonucleotide (PdRN), a bioactive compound derived from the sperm cells of sustainably sourced salmon. PdRN soothes inflamed skin while promoting cellular repair and regeneration.

Skin aging is driven in part by a decline in cellular turnover and barrier function, and by DNA damage that accumulates as repair grows less efficient, leaving skin duller and less elastic.

Mechanistically, PdRN supplies nucleotides through the salvage pathway and selectively engages the adenosine A2A receptor, activating ERK / MAPK signalling to drive fibroblast proliferation, migration and collagen synthesis.

PdRN also tempers UV-driven pigmentation. Paired with niacinamide and glutathione, it helps buffer the hyperpigmentation, uneven tone and textural change that follow UV exposure.
